Walking and Diabetes
Plain old walking, if done regularly, can reduce the risk of death in diabetics. A study published in 2003 showed that diabetics who walked at least 2 hours/week had a 39% lower mortality rate (Arch Intern Med, 2003).

| Description:
Minnesota-based Ergodyne makes a variety of "keep cool" products. The Chill-Its 6602 is a towel to keep you cool. Size is 13-inches x 30-inches. Available in 5 colors: blue, gray, lime green, hot orange, and pink.
| How It Works:
Soak it with water, wring it out, and wrap it around your neck or over your head. The fabric holds more water than non-technical fabrics, thus, allowing it to evaporate over a longer period of time. In August 2013, Consumer Reports compared Chill-Its Cooling Towel to Mission's EnduraCool Cooling Towel: the Chill-Its towel held about twice the water and was effective longer.
| Ideal For:
Anyone who exercises when it's hot outside!
| Why It's Cool:
That's exactly what this towel is designed to do! (Pun intended!)
