Rehab Exercises for the Back
When doing resistance exercises to rehab the back, the goal is to develop muscular endurance. So, lower the resistance and increase the number of reps to as many as 15-30 per set.

Check out this cool DVD of a bike ride through Badlands National Park, South Dakota. It starts at Ancient Hunters Overlook, the north entrance to the Badlands Wilderness Area, and heads east along Park Road. It ends at the Fossil Exhibit (approximately 1-hr in length).
You can watch this video while you ride your exercise bike, or, while you run on a treadmill. When the incline changes, a small number (1-6) appears in the lower right-hand corner. Very clever!
