Fitness Tip of the Day!
Strength-Training Tip #1
To improve muscular strength, it is necessary to increase the load periodically. However, don't make those increments larger than 5-10%.

Corporate Wellness
Let Us Create A Program For You!
Are you a business owner concerned about the health care expenses your company is paying?  If so, we can help.  We specialize in providing fitness and wellness advice to small businesses like yours.  We can work with your employees to get them on the road to a healthier lifestyle.

UNHEALTHY EMPLOYEES COST MONEY

Consider the following:

  • 70% of medical costs are due to chronic conditions related to lifestyle.  (1)
  • For each employee who loses "low-risk" status, health costs go up $350/yr.  Every employee who regains low-risk status saves $150/yr.  (2)
  • High-risk employees (ie., those who have 5 or more health risk factors) have medical claim costs of $3007-$4182 higher per year compared to low-risk employees of the same age group. (2)
  • Health risks can translate into higher health care costs within 18 months. (3)

But does a corporate fitness program achieve results?  Most definitely!  Consider the following:

  • Physical activity accounts for 4.7% lower health care costs for each day/week a person is active. (3)
  • Programs that motivate employees to increase physical activity save organizations approximately $900 per person per year in direct medical costs. (4)
  • In one study, employees who participated in health promotion programs decreased healthcare costs by 1% per year, compared to non-participants whose annual health care costs increased by 7.8% per year. (2)

Quite honestly, it's not a question of can you afford a corporate fitness program.  Rather, you should be asking why you are waiting.

WHAT WE DO

We will come to your facility and meet with each employee privately.  Together, we will establish realistic health and fitness goals and develop a physical activity plan for them.  We will follow-up with each employee individually via phone and confidential e-mail throughout the duration of the program.
