Exercise Intensity for Health
For health benefits, "moderate-intensity" exercise is recommended. An example of moderate-intensity exercise is brisk walking.

  Library

Our LIBRARY is the heart of AthleteInMe.com®. It consists of:

  • Articles
  • Books and Videos

Articles Our review articles are thoroughly researched and updated regularly. These reviews are written for a consumer audience, though, some of the reviews are quite detailed. Elite athletes, coaches, athletic trainers, and even health care professionals will find the information in these reviews helpful.  Links to the original research are provided at the end of each review.

Books and Videos:  In addition to the review articles, we also review books and videos on exercise, fitness, training, and sports nutrition.  Sure, everybody knows that Amazon.com has reviews on zillions of books.  But, wouldn't you prefer to read a review by someone with healthcare and fitness credentials?  We pull no punches: we tell you what we don't like, as well as what we did like. We also provide links to the publishers for those who wish to purchase these books and videos. In general, we limit our reviews to consumer-level books, though, occasionally, we may include an academic textbook.
